Having cancelled the first scheduled date due to high winds, this leg was also looking to be a non-starter. But with the 25mphNW winds dropping through Friday, a window of opportunity arose during the evening, when a settled spell was forecast before 25mph SW winds swept in.

Anticipation was high, everyone wanted to get the first match of this winter league off and running, sadly though the fishing was not electrifying, Many struggled to get the numbers of dogs and whiting put away to allow them to concentrate on the higher scorers of huss and conger. It was as though the fish knew we wanted a good outing to start the league off, and decided not to play ball.

Never the less, it was a good evening with copious amounts of ‘banter’ to keep most aboard each boat entertained.
