This is a favourite rig of mine when anglers are learning to drift along the rocky marks off Anglesey for wrasse and pollack.
When drifting, leads and hooks can often get snagged into the rocks and kelp where the wrasse feed. This rig helps catch the fish but also minimises the chances of tackle loss.
Handy hint when drifting is to use a paper clip to attach your lead to the rig, thus losing just the lead and not complete set up if snagged.
