Results

It was a very hard day afloat during this match. An uncomfortable hour in a lumpy sea in Church Bay was made worse when the tide turned and left the boat beam onto some horrible swells. With a few dogs on the scoreboard and soem green faces, we moved inside for added shelter.

The fishing down towards Penrhos, albeit in sheltered waters was slow, it normally is and somewhere i tend to avoid with most crews . with the nature of this trip a match, it was a good place to go and work at the sport and scratch as many fish as possible. Finicky bites and saw just a few whiting and the odd dogfish coming to those trying hard.

At this point Gareth P was leading the boat by 10 points from Jon Law, with Phil, a coarse angler on his first boat trip a very credible third, and first place amongst his shore angler friends.

After the tide had ebbed for a few hrs and the wind eased we were able to sneak back out and move onto the drift near Chair Rock. For the last hr, Jon Law showed his experience and slowly pulled ahead of Gareth catching ballan wrasse, Goldsinny wrasse and a couple small pollack to sneak the win from Gareth.
