  How it went
With a forecast of a SW 3 increasing 4 to 5, the outlook was fairly good and an exciting day was expected.

Don't you just love the Met Office. Woke up to a SW 4 to 5, increasing 6 to 7. Arriving at the pontoon it was blowing a good 5, and maybe gusting 6, but the direction more WSW than SW, damn!

This was going to make for a very lumpy day.

Well, we braved it outside for around an hour with dogs, whiting and poor cod making up the catches, then we had to move into more sheltered waters as the swells increased and the boat started to swing beam on.

To cut a long hard slow story short, we had plenty of fish, but mainly the dogs, whiting and poor cod already mentioned along with rock goby and tub gurnard.

All in a very hard day, one though enjoyed by all onboard, especially as Rob had brought along a great curry for everyone to tuck into, I sorted the rice and naans, along with cake for afters.

Plus for inbetweens, Alan had brought the mars bars, milky ways and digestive biscuits - milk and plain chocolate.

Well, not just about the fishing you know -:)!

Congrats to

Pete who took first with 5 species and won £30

Alan, Rob and Alwyn £10 each in joint second with 3 species.

Better weather next time around I hope.
